Privacy Policy — Callee
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Callee is a private, single-user personal assistant. It is not a public service and is not offered to anyone else. It exists to help one person — its owner — keep track of their own commitments. This policy describes how it handles data.
Who this covers?
One person: the owner and sole user of the application. Callee has no other users, no user accounts, no sign-up, and no way for anyone else to authorize it.
What Callee accesses?
Google Calendar. With the owner's permission, Callee reads calendar events in order to understand which parts of the day are already committed, and creates events on a single secondary calendar that Callee itself creates. It cannot modify or delete events on any other calendar; the permissions it requests do not allow it.
Messages the owner sends it. Text and voice messages sent through a private chat channel, which Callee records as notes, tasks and reminders.
Where data is stored?
All of Callee's own data — notes, tasks, calendar references and message history — is stored on a private server owned and operated by the owner, in the owner's home. It is not hosted on any public cloud service and is not accessible from the public internet.
What is sent to third parties?
Callee uses a small number of external services to function. Only the data needed for each request is sent, never a bulk export:
Anthropic — the text of messages, and short summaries of calendar events and stored notes, in order to classify them and compose replies.
Groq — audio from voice messages, in order to transcribe them to text.
Notion — notes and tasks, mirrored into the owner's own private Notion workspace so they can be read on a phone.
Discord — the messages between the owner and Callee, since Discord is the chat interface being used.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing what it does with data it receives
What Callee does not do?
No data is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.
No data is shared with any other person.
No analytics, tracking, or advertising of any kind.
No data is used to train any machine learning model.
Google user data and Limited Use?
Callee's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Calendar data is used solely to provide the assistant features described above for the owner, and is never transferred to others except as necessary to provide those features, and never for advertising or any other purpose.
Retention and deletion?
Data is kept for as long as the owner finds it useful, and the owner can delete any of it at any time by removing it from the server. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately ends Callee's ability to read or write calendar data.
